The way women experience menopause symptoms varies from one individual to another, as does the way in which we find menopause relief as well. This is due to many factors, some of which, such as genes, cannot be changed. Caffeine

This is a central nervous system stimulant – meaning it stimulates the brain – and is found in tea, coffee, caffeinated drinks such as cola, and chocolate. Moderate amounts of caffeine (less than about 400 mg per day) are thought to be acceptable. However, larger amounts can be associated with undesirable effects, including headaches, anxiety, irritability and having heart palpitations (being aware of the heartbeat, which may be rapid). Frequent urination may also occur as caffeine is a diuretic. Problems sleeping, in particular getting to sleep, may also occur.
